POV
Project of the week is to process this material on POV, because an online discussion made such good points on omniscient POV; it's not just about head-hopping.
The hint I'm taking from it may solve my voice problem. The character I wish to follow just does not have the voice the story seems to require. I need a stance from which to speak, and that stance cannot be close 3rd. His thought processes need to be not simply reported but interpreted.
